Front Cooking School is a unique venue situated in Lygon Street, Carlton, that is the perfect choice for your next corporate event, conference, meeting, private function or Christmas celebration. Our venue is a magnificent, renovated Victorian building with a peaceful terrace surrounded by rosemary, rose and olive trees. Located only minutes from the Melbourne CBD district, we are centrally located with ample parking nearby.

Front Cooking School has two function spaces that are suitable for a range of functions and corporate events including Christmas and birthday parties, private dining, business meetings, presentations, workshops, training sessions, networking and client entertainment.

We offer function menus for sit down lunches and dinners as well as canape style entertainment or networking events. View our menus online. Corporate meetings and workshops can include catering for breakfast, morning/afternoon tea, lunch or dinner.

Room hire includes the use of AV equipment (data projector, speakers, screen) and whiteboard. Flipcharts and other meeting materials can be provided upon request.

Function Rooms

Our downstairs function space has a warm and rustic atmosphere and caters for up to 28 seated at the central table (up to 40 downstairs total) or up to 70 standing. Our upstairs function space is a private room with natural light and balcony overlooking the leafy Lygon streetscape, that seats up to 24 guests across a central table layout or up to 50 standing. Alternatively the tables can be placed around the room for group work. Rooms can be hired separately or together for sole venue use.
